Zoe-perry
Perry is Perry is a Chicago native, birthed to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mother in both the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to perform in front of her family until an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the strain it might create. Perry admitted that she wasn't confident in her acting during high school. She began acting to meet new people at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure minor TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. Homesickness, however, brought her to California and she returned working in the stage. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway with her in The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she was a part of her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. She had a regular role in the ABC political drama Scandal that starred her dad. The character she played was a younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off episode that was part of the CBS show The Big Bang Theory was another younger portrayal of her mother. She was cast in the role despite her close family connection to the character.
